The holiday season, regardless of what you celebrate, can be hectic. This year we decided to switch things up at VT to make holiday shopping a little easier, so we introduced our F.A.B sale. After hearing nothing but great things about this intriguing incentive, we began putting together festive bags and bag tags that explain what it’s all about. F.A.B, also known as “Fill A Bag” is set up to send clients home with good products as well as a good deal. When a client purchases at least two full size products from us, they will receive the bag to bring back in January and February to fill up with any products they want for 20% off the entire purchase.
Keeping this sale in mind, I decided to walk around the salon and ask a few stylists what top three products they would put in their F.A.B bag. Sebastian Shaper ID is a medium hold, remoldable texturizing spray that has a 48 hour humidity resistance as well as UV protection. If you need a hairspray that still allows for movement with no flaking, this is the one for you!
Ellie, our receptionist was also included in this to give a non biased, non stylist point of view of products that she genuinely likes to use. Her products chosen were the Fusion Plex Wella Shampoo and Conditioner ($22 each), Nioxin Bodifying Foam Hair Thickening Mousse ($19) and the Jane Iredale Hydration Spray ($33). The fusion Plex Wella set holds silk amino acids that are great for damaged hair and while lathering it removes metallic impurities through antioxidants. The most damaged hair is left feeling renewed, smooth, elastic and resilient while preventing future hair breakage. Nioxin Bodifying Foam Hair Thickening Mousse provides manageable body and hold while leaving hair fuller and more voluminous. This styling mousse improves hair volume, leaving the hair soft and also controls static. If you are more about a glowy skin look, pick up some of the Jane Iredale Hydration Spray! This spray contains antioxidants and hydrates all skin types as well as conditions. Use this to set makeup, protect skin and fight free radical damage caused by the sun, stop in and ask about our SPF as well!
Our second stylist included in this questionnaire was Heidi who chose Sebastian Dark Oil ($24/$48), Pureology Color Fanatic Spray ($30) and the DevaCurl Ultra Defining Gel ($24). Since Sebastian Dark Oil was mentioned previously, the Pureology Leave in Spray primes hair for heat, detangles, protects from damage and adds shine from root to tip. In this formula, camelina oil nourishes hair, coconut oil moisturizes hair and olive oil adds shine to moisturize as well as condition hair. The DevaCurl Ultra Defining Gel is a non flaking formula with a strong curl locking blend that is not sticky, fights frizz and amplifies shine as well as bounce. This gel does not have any SLS/SLES sulfates, silicones and parabens, making a great formula for your curls!
The third stylist, Robin, chose the beloved Sebastian Dark Oil ($24/$48), Sebastian Trilliant Spray ($20) and the previously mentioned Pureology Color Fanatic Spray ($30). Since you will be able to find the Sebastian Dark oil and the Pureology Color Fanatic Spray listed above already, the Sebastian Trilliant Spray works as a heat protectant while adding shimmer and acts as a lightweight hairspray even though you apply on damp hair! This product provides not only protection but also a soft, conditioned feel.
